Western Australia's City of Albany has a population of around 37,500. Situated on the coast, Albany is approximately 420km south-east of Perth. It is proudly known to be one of the oldest settlements in WA.
A few of the surrounding suburbs of Albany are Narrogin, Katanning, Kojonup, Mount Barker and Denmark. Industries include timber, agriculture, and tourism, with Albany’s beautiful natural wonders. Hence, these are great attractions for many people worldwide.
The NDIS roll out in Albany and the surrounding areas from the 1st July 2019. From February 2019, the registration process commenced.
Pre-Planning can commence as soon as registration happens by contacting the NDIS itself before May 2019. Alternatively, contact their community partner and their Local Area Coordinators after this time.
These are the following for the Albany areas:
• Wanslea Family Services (ECEI)
• Mission Australia (LAC)
• APM (LAC)
Starting from 1 May 2019, the new partners will be ready to deliver their services. In the meantime, the NDIA will manage the planning services. Once the new Partners become entirely prepared, they will take up their new roles.
